QIKKIDS\XPLOR OFFICE

We will be rolling out a new digital system called Qikkids\Xplor Office.  This will allow you to sign your children in and out  in a contactless way with a QR Code scanner from your phone, or using a phone number and PIN code.

Toward the end of November, once the system is up and running at OSHC, you will be invited via e-mail to set up your account for the system. Please keep an eye out for this e-mail and create your password.

Once you have set up your account online, please download the parent app called ‘Xplor Home’ and log in. This will allow you to sign in and out using the QR Code.

If you prefer to sign in and out with your mobile and pin, create an Xplor ID from your welcome e-mail.

You will have access to a quick start-up guide.

This new digital system will allow:

  • Parents to sign children in and out of care.
  • New parents to enrol their children into OSHC; current parents to update their information.
  • Parents to upload medical information and plans.
  • Parents to make bookings and cancellations.
  • Statements to be forwarded to families.
  • Parents to make payments.

Valkstone Primary School Learning Dispositions

(Learning Muscles)

‘Learning should not only take us somewhere;

it should allow us later to go further more easily.’

(Bruner. J)

At Valkstone Primary School, we encourage our students to be critical and creative thinkers and to develop skills that are crucial for 21st century living. In 2021, we will be introducing the Valkstone Primary School Learning Dispositions. These dispositions (learning muscles) will assist the children in becoming Thinkers, Researchers, Self-Managers, Communicators and Collaborators. Learning about these dispositions will help the students to continue with their journey of ‘learning about learning’.

We look forward to taking this learning journey together next year.

The Japanese Word of the Fortnight

もちろん (‘mochiron’) which means ‘of course’, is the Japanese Word for Week 7 and 8 of Term 4. You can simply use ‘もちろん’ (‘mochiron’) instead of ‘of course’. Thank you / ありがとうございます(pronounced ‘aligatoh gozaimas’) for your continuing support for our Japanese program.
