Easing of Restrictions

As restrictions continue to ease in Melbourne, and we are starting to return to a new normal, we will hopefully hear of more restrictions being eased next weekend and I can answer many of the questions we all have around our school operations. As soon as Catholic Education Melbourne send through information I will let you know what the following activities will look like:

Foundation Transition Days – whether children and/or parents can be onsite. Our dates will remain the same – Thursday 26th November and Thursday 3rd December from 9am – 12 midday.

Year Six Graduation and Liturgy/Mass and the Big Day Out.

End of Year Mass/Liturgy

End of Year Assembly.

Please make sure you read our newsletter and all SkoolBag alerts so you are aware of what is happening as our restrictions ease.

Not Returning to St Brigid’s in 2021?

If you are not returning to St Brigid’s for the 2021 school year (excluding current Year 6 Students), would you please let us know in writing as soon as possible. This will help us as we begin to make plans for the 2021 school year. Thank you.

Christmas Angels

As with previous years we are starting our family Christmas activity. Sarah Kimball (Art Teacher) will send a note home via SkoolBag and we have included all the instructions you need to complete this activity in our St Brigid's News and Events section of this newsletter. We look forward to seeing your lovely angels you make with recycled materials and items you have at home. Two years ago when we did our “Christmas Trees” we had some amazing creations, even some made out out coat hangers and lampstands. We have very creative families at St Brigids!!

Assemblies

I would just like to make a special mention to our Public Relations group. Each week they are called down to our office to video the assembly. At times are the only ones being filmed as we grab them when we can and they take it all in their stride. Well done team!! Charlotte, Riley, Tahlia, Zane, Ella, George and Rohahn.

Kiss and Go

Just a reminder parents that the Kiss and Go purpose is to drop your children off without getting out of the car. Can you please follow this guideline as we are having a build up of traffic waiting to use the area.

Summer Uniform

All children should now be in their correct summer uniform, including a St Brigid's Hat. Wearing our uniform correctly shows pride in our school and the children look so good when wearing the uniform as it should be.  Please make sure all items are clearly labelled.

School Fees

Due to the current economic climate and in discussion with the School Accountant the fees and levies will not be increased. Therefore, the 2021 fees and levies will remain the same as 2020.

School fees are now overdue unless you have a specialised payment plan in place. Families on direct debit payments please review your last statement to ensure that your fees are paid in full by end of year. Thank you to those families who have made recent payments.

Currently the school is in transition to a new accounting and student data software program. During this period receipts will not be generated and automatically emailed to you. Please contact Michele Wain 95804518 or email mwain@sbmord.catholic.edu.au if you have any queries regarding outstanding amounts or payments.

Farewell

Have a great week.

Together in partnership,
