PHYSIOTHERAPY

Walking with special walker.

Walking is a functional skill getting oneself from one point to another (e.g. moving from the classroom to the playground). It also has loads of health benefits (e.g. strengthening bones and muscles, improving balance and coordination, boosting circulation and heart lung function). Moreover it has positive effect on confidence, self-esteem and happiness level.

Students who have limited strength, balance and coordination learn to walk in special walkers during physiotherapy sessions. The special walkers provide various degrees of support allowing students to stand and to walk as independent as possible.

It has been great to see students gaining more control moving around in their special walkers with joy and pride.
