Diving into 1/2DS

As part of our Inquiry unit this term, we have been learning about different kinds of landscapes. We have looked at the natural and manmade features of beach landscapes, urban (city) landscapes and rural (farm/country) landscapes. We have investigated what is good and not so good about living in each of these landscapes.
We looked at a map of Victoria to see where these landscapes are in our state, and then put this information onto our own maps of Victoria. We included a key to help people read our maps.
In Mathematics we have been practising our division skills. We used all sorts of different materials to help us understand that "division" means "sharing equally".
Over the last couple of weeks in Religion, we have been focusing on baptism. Some of the students shared photos from their own baptism, so we could look for some of the signs and symbols used in baptism - water, white garments, a candle and oil of chrism. We explored the meaning behind each of these symbols.
