Captains Corner

What an amazing term it has been! With some exciting events to conclude the term such as:

  • The Grade Six’s had their Winter Round Robin and are eagerly preparing for the Soccer Round Robin
  • The Preps had their excursion to Healesville Sanctuary and are thrilled as they will have their second Fire Ed incursion soon.
  • The Student Led Conferences are happening now - good luck everyone and
  • also, the second Maths Olympiad and the third VSSS Mass Dance local hub rehearsal.

Congratulations to the students who competed in the Winter Round Robin on Friday the 9th of June. Some our Grade Six’s participated, and they got a chance to represent our school in various sports. This was an amazing experience for the students as they got to compete against other schools. I’m sure they thoroughly enjoyed working together and trying their best. We have also selected a few students to go to the Soccer Round Robin on the 16th of June. So don’t forget to wish them lots of luck!

The VSSS Mass Dancers have their third local hub rehearsal on the 13th of June,  did you know they have to learn the steps to 8 songs? Wow, that’s an amazing effort!

The Grade Five’s and Six’s are studying for their second Maths Olympiad which is being held today - Thursday the 14th of June.

We all get very excited when it comes to excursions or incursions, I am sure that the perps certainly enjoyed their excursion to the Healesville Sanctuary where they got to meet lots of animals and really got to expand their knowledge about their unique features, and habitats - what an experience!

Our Student Led Conferences are a great way for us to share our learning with our parents. Our role is to choose learning pieces we are most proud of to show our parents which demonstrate our learning experiences and growth throughout the semester – good luck everyone!

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask Mr Catalano or your classroom teacher.

Thank you for taking your time to read my piece, I hope you have a splendid week ahead.
