Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to share with you the incredible success of our recent K-10 Athletics Carnival, which took place on our very own sporting field, rather than in previous years ,at Boughton Oval. It was truly a remarkable day that brought together our entire school community, fostering a greater sense of inclusion, engagement, and house spirit.

Despite the slight drizzle that accompanied us throughout the day, our students displayed an inspiring level of positivity, unwavering house spirit, and outstanding sportsmanship. It was heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and commitment as they competed in various athletic events.  Sporting House 'War Cries' were once again a highlight and showcased the students passionate competitive spirit.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who attended the carnival and supported our young athletes. Your presence and encouragement made a significant difference, motivating our students to perform at their best.

A special acknowledgment goes to Miss Phoebe McGrath for her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in ensuring the smooth execution of the carnival. Her commitment and support played a pivotal role in making this event a resounding success.  I would also like to thank our groundsman Mr Guy Sweeney for his ongoing support and dedication as he ensured the grounds were at its best for the carnival.  Mr Sweeney become very familiar with our newly purchased line marking machine as he regularly walked the field touching up the running track lines.  On occassion Mr Sweeney exceeded 20,000 steps while remarking the running track in preparation for the event.

I want to congratulate all the students who have qualified for the upcoming Dio Athletics carnival. Your hard work and determination have paid off, and I have no doubt that you will represent our school admirably. I wish you every success as you compete at the next level.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our K-10 Athletics Carnival. It was a true testament to the spirit and unity of our school community. Let us continue to celebrate the achievements of our students and support as they prepare for their next level of competition.

God bless,

Jamie McDowall
