WynSpeak

For the third consecutive year, Tarneit Senior College hosted the Wyndham Youth Public Speaking Competition, also known as WynSpeak, where students from the Western Suburbs came together to showcase their public speaking and speech-writing skills. This year, our college captain, Kiara Huynh, returned to the stage to represent the school and delivered an outstanding presentation on personal identity, labelling, and embracing individuality. Kiara was ultimately successful in the preliminary round hosted at our school campus, going on to represent Tarneit Senior College in the next round at Thomas Carr College, where she finished as a finalist for this year's competition.

All the host schools were amazed by her charismatic delivery and insightful and passionate oral presentation, and they passed on their congratulations, as did the staff at Tarneit Senior College! WynSpeak will be held once again next year and is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills in the art of public speaking from both teachers and professional speakers. We hope to see some new students stepping up to demonstrate their talent for public speaking with both the school and the wider community.
