Student Report

We've made it to the end of Term 2, halfway for year 10 and 11 students and leaving only a term for year 12 students. 

It has been exciting to see the progression of the building extension on Chirnside and other building works around the school which is a great asset for future learning at Tarneit Senior College. 

This term has been packed with SACs, Year 10 & 11 Exams, and the GAT as we come to the end of semester. Year 11s are preparing to start Unit 2 and Year 12s continuing Unit 4.

Year 10 work experience from the 19th of June to the 23rd of June was a great opportunity to look into jobs of your interest and passion, which you may want to pursue in the future.

Year 12 Formal on the 21st of June was an amazing experience for year 12 students of 2023.  A night filled with dancing, pictures, mixed emotions and everyone looking their best! Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves and had heaps of fun.

On June 4th, my family and I participated in a fundraising event for the World’s Greatest Shave, cutting our long hair, as many have seen me throughout the school with long hair for the past 2 years. We chose to do this as it marked 15 years since my cousin passed away from leukaemia and my cousin's mother, my aunt, died of colon cancer 5 years ago.

We had family and friends at the event and raised money both on the day and in the weeks leading up to the event. In total, we raised $1,367 for the Leukaemia Foundation, an organisation that provides research on cancer to try and find a cure.
