Excursions with S03

This term, S3 have been concentrating on Recount Writing as part of the English curriculum. We have been writing about the many excursions we have been on including, Melbourne Museum, Riding for the Disabled Melton and Gymnastics/Parkour lessons. The students have written their own recount from some of these excursions.

First, we did a warm up. Then we got split into groups. I was with Will Soutter and Angelo. Afterwards we went on the beam. Next, we had to put a cone on our head and balance it, then we did baby crawl, backwards stepping and then kicks. The next five activities were washing machine, candle stick , monkey bars, focus hold and animals. Will almost fell over and then we packed up and said good bye.

On the 18/5/23 our class went to Riding for the Disabled. I went on the bus to go horse riding so I can help with the horses. We put our bags down on the floor, then we met Marg. Jamie grabbed the horse poop. He threw the horse poop. We fed the horses and then we walked with Marg. The horses ate apple.

On 2/6/23 we went to Melbourne Museum. We went with Chloe, Finn, Jamie and Anchi.

We hopped on the bus then we turned around to go back to school to pick up Anchi.

After we picked up Anchi we headed straight to Melbourne Museum. Once we got there, we got our bags then hopped off the bus.

We walked inside and we put our bags on the rack and walked to where we had to go.

Then we watched a video of Aboriginal people and how the lands were different before colonisation.

Then we talked about weather changing and climate changing. After we talked about weather changing and climate changing, we used an iPad to make water and climate changing. S3 split into groups to make different sorts of weather and climate changing ideas. After we finished S3 presented the project. Then we had lunch and we got ready for the bus to pick us up and bring us back to school.

On the 18th of May 2023, our class visited Riding for the Disabled for Melton. First, we went on the bus. When we got off the bus we put our bags down and sat on the bench and met Marg and Bubblegum the pony. Bubble gum is blind, and then we met Larry the sheep. We saw some kangaroos and we did Acknowledgement of Country first. We filled up the horse feed bucket and I went to catch a horse named Rolley. I walked him to the arena and walked around the arena. We walked around and saw more horses and we saw a dog, it licked me on the hand. We saw kangaroos. I found a horse that likes me, it would not stop following me. I petted the horse and then we went home on the bus. We listened to songs on the bus on the way back to school.
