Today we celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart albeit a few days late, it was a lovely way for the school to finish the term. Our amazing Prayer and Liturgy Leaders, Hannah and Mia, did an awesome job in leading our prayer service and the stuents in Year 2 practised for a number of weeks to present a fantastic song about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and how we are all called to "love one another as God has loved you."
We were also very lucky to have Sue and Nicole from the Aspendale St Vinnie's Conference, join us in prayer and thank all the students for the tremendous amount of generous donations given to St Vinnie's. Their cupboards are overflowing thanks to our very generous school community. So once again, a HUGE Thank-you for your support.
The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus reminds us that God’s love knows no bounds. It is higher, deeper, wider than we can ever imagine, and it is endless. God loves us deeply and truly and showed this by giving us his son, Jesus, to show us how to live.
We ask God to help us to be inspired by Jesus’ words and deeds of love so that we may be ambassadors of His Gospel message bringing peace, love and compassion to all we meet.
May we remember to live by Jesus' example, especially over the next few weeks of school holidays, so that we can enjoy a restful break, spending special time with our friends and family and bringing Jesus' message of love and compassion to all.
