Gymnastics GALA Day

Well Done to the Brigidine Gymnastics team that recently competed at the SCS Gymnastics GALA day. Amidst fierce competition and with unwavering determination, our 12 talented gymnasts showcased their skills across various levels ranging from level 3 to level 10.

Our team members had a fantastic day out, and for some, it was a rediscovery of their love for gymnastics. Their passion and dedication were evident in their performances, and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts.

We are thrilled to announce that our team had two remarkable successes at the GALA day. Sienna Diaz, a talented Year 7 student, displayed exceptional skills in the level 6 category, securing an impressive 2nd place. Additionally, we congratulate Mavie Ngapoula, a remarkable Year 10 student, who claimed the top spot in the highly competitive level 10 category.

Chess GALA Day

Brigidine proudly entered three Junior teams, one Intermediate team, and one Senior team into the SCS Chess Conference GALA Day , which featured teams of three players. The competition brought together talented chess players from Conference One in SCS, comprising both boys and girls teams.

We are delighted to announce that our Junior Girls and Senior teams emerged as champions in the girls' category. Their exceptional teamwork, analytical thinking, and remarkable gameplay were evident throughout the tournament.

Though our teams faced formidable challenges from some of the male teams, their resilience and sportsmanship never wavered. We are especially proud to acknowledge the exceptional performance of Rafaela Mehta, a remarkable Year 7 student. Rafaela demonstrated extraordinary skill and determination, remaining unbeaten in all six of her games.
