As we draw to the end of another school term, I would like to acknowledge the efforts made by so many of our students and staff over this term. Each day our girls strive for excellence and this is evidenced by the many extracurricular activities that our girls are involved in. It is so good to see our girls volunteering to partake in opportunities that allow them the opportunity to excel. At the end of a very busy semester, it is perhaps fitting to sit down with your daughter and reflect on your daughter's semester goals. You may wish to discuss with your daughter the extent to which she achieved her semester goals and discuss what she is most proud of this term.
Mobile Phones
I would like to remind the girls that there is to be no use of mobile devices from the time a student enters the College gates until the final bell at 3.04 pm. Where a student needs to make contact with home/parent during the course of the school day, students should attend the front office to use the College phone.
As per the College calendar, I would like to remind you of the following upcoming dates:
When we return to school next term the College will observe NAIDOC week and will commence the term with a smoking ceremony. This is an opportunity for our College community to acknowledge the culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Similarly, NAIDOC week also is an opportunity for our College community to learn about First Nations cultures and histories.
I wish you all a happy holiday and I look forward to working with you again next term.
