Dear Parents, Students, Staff, and the broader Brigidine community,

It is with great joy that I write to you, reflecting on the wonderful term we have had at Brigidine College. The term concluded on a high note with our marvellous Founder's Day Mass and Celebration, which brought an incredible sense of community and excitement to our girls. It was heart-warming to see the students having so much fun throughout the day, truly embracing the spirit of our College.

Throughout the term, our classrooms were buzzing with exciting activities. Our students actively participated in various academic and extracurricular pursuits, enriching their educational journey. The dedication, talents, and the will to rise demonstrated by our girls were truly commendable.

I am thrilled to share with you the outstanding accomplishments of our incredible sporting teams in the Sydney Catholic Schools Competition, particularly our two remarkable Netball teams. Our Junior Team fought bravely to take the win from Marist Sisters Woolwich, 25 - 20. Our Senior Team dominated the court with a 39 - 14 win against Rosebank College. It is with immense pride that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to these exceptional athletes and their coaches for making it through to the Semi-Finals. We wish them every success.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Charlize Ashby for winning the Regional NSW VET Student of the Year Award. Charlize's achievements are a testament to her hard work and commitment. We wish her every success as she progresses to the NSW Championships next term. Charlize has been an exceptional ambassador for Brigidine College, and we are proud to have her represent us.

For our Year 10, 11, and 12 students, I am pleased to announce that ATAR Notes will be conducting their free Online HSC Lectures. These sessions will provide valuable revision and help students get ahead in their studies. Upon registration, students will have the option to either tune in to the live lectures or watch the recordings at their own convenience. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance their learning experience.

During the break, our dedicated staff at Brigidine will be conducting workshops specifically designed for Year 12 students. These workshops aim to provide additional support and guidance in preparation for their upcoming assessments. I encourage all Year 12 students to check the schedule for their specific subjects and make the most of these valuable learning opportunities.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the parents who have supported our College initiatives, especially the recently conducted Resilience Workshop hosted by our Year 9 Pastoral Care Coordinator, Nikki Coordinator. Your involvement and commitment to your child's education are greatly appreciated. Together, we can empower our students to thrive academically and emotionally.

As the highly anticipated World Youth Day draws near, I wanted to send a brief message to our incredible pilgrims. Your journey is about to commence, and I couldn't be more excited for each and every one of you! I wanted to take a moment to wish you all the best of luck as you embark on this transformative pilgrimage. World Youth Day offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow youth from all corners of the world, fostering unity, understanding, and spiritual growth. As you embark on this transformative pilgrimage, may you embrace the diversity, forge unforgettable connections, and experience spiritual growth. Cherish every moment, reflect on your faith, and let this journey inspire you to make a positive impact in our world. Safe travels, unforgettable encounters, and a truly life-changing experience await you!

As we embark on the holiday break, I encourage all students to take this time to relax and recharge. It has been a term filled with hard work and dedication, and each and every one of you deserves a well-earned break. Enjoy these next two weeks and return rejuvenated for the start of the new term.

I look forward to welcoming all our students back next term on Tuesday 18 July 2023. May the holiday season bring you joy, happiness, and precious moments with your loved ones.

Warm regards,

Mrs Sharyn Quirk
