Lost Scooter
Has anyone reported a found scooter? Lily Alexander (3/4T)‘s scooter went missing from school grounds recently. The helmet is always kept with the scooter, but we found it separately in Lost Property today.
It was a ‘Micro Maxi’ black frame with lime green base and lime green handle grips (like the picture below). It had a name sticker on it (Lily Alexander).
OSH Basketball
Dear BPPS parents,
The popular Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club (BTBC) primary school (OSH Basketball) competition (boys and girls in grades 1 to 6) for 2019 Season 2 starts on Monday 15 July.
OSH (outside school hours) School basketball is a fun, pleasant and inexpensive way to learn the great game of basketball. It’s fantastic for building bonds with friends outside the school environment and helps teach them resilience and patience in learning a new skill, whilst also promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
No experience necessary, new players are all welcome! If you are interested to join, REGISTER HERE!
To our current players of OSH basketball, welcome back and if your child intends to continue to play in 2019, please REGISTER ASAP.
Season 2 2019 begins on Monday 15 July.
Girls Competition
Grade 5/6 Games played on Mondays
Grade 3/4 Games played on Thursdays
Grade 1/2 Games played on Wednesdays
Boys Competition
Grade 5/6 Games played on Mondays
Grade 3/4 Games played on Tuesdays
Grade 1/2 Games played on Wednesdays
Games are scheduled at 4.10pm, 4.50pm, 5.30pm and 6.10pm and consist of two 17 minute halves.
Training
OSH Basketball is dependent on parents to volunteer for the role of ‘Coach’. Training is usually held at the school at a time that will suit the ‘Coach’ as well as court availability.
Registration
Please note that we will endeavour to put your child into a team, however where possible we will keep teams from Season 1 together. The decision to change teams is at the discretion of the coordinators. If a suitable team for your child is not available, your School Registration Fee will be returned to you.
There are 2 sets of fees that parents are required to pay for the school basketball competition:
- School Registration Fees (paid to BPPS via Trybooking)
- $40 fee which covers, team registration with Bulleen Basketball Club, end of year BBQ, trophy for all participants at end of year, basketballs for each team (x2)
- A trybooking fee of $0.50 will also be added to each registration at the checkout.
- Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club Match Fees
- These will be issued by Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club once your child is placed into a team
- Match fees cover the cost of umpires, court hire for the regular season however does not include finals matches.
