Learning together

Year 7 - Reflections on the silver linings of lockdown

Year 7 students have recently reflected on the positive elements of learning from home and the ‘silver linings’ of lockdown. Through this challenging time, it has been wonderful to see students using the experience to focus on what’s very important to them:

My silver lining to this lockdown was going on a walk/bike ride every day. I wasn’t expecting to do that every day, but my family does it together all the time. We go for about an hour every day but when new restrictions came out, we stopped going, but we have recently started going again.

I really need to see my best friend as I was finding school hard and challenging. She has kept me motivated to do my work.

I grew taller and much more hair, maybe because I slept a lot more.

Year 12 - taking it all in their stride!

The end of Term 3 is traditionally an eventful time for Year 12 students, but Term 3 has been anything but traditional in 2021!

Year 12 have risen to the challenge and taken the changes in their stride, developing amazing resilience for future challenges.

Important changes for Term 4 and beyond include:

  • The HSC will begin on 6 November and conclude 3 December 2021
  • Personalised HSC Timetables are now available on Students Online
  • ATARs will be released on 20 January 2022
  • HSC results will be released from 6am on 24 January 2022

As we begin Term 4 and move closer towards a possible date for Year 12 students to be onsite, information for end-of-year festivities will be provided.

All staff have been impressed with the way Year 12 students have adapted and maintained their application throughout Term 3. Congratulations Year 12!
