Week 9 Online Learning Timetable
On Thursday, Grade 5 and 6 students began their unit on cyber-safety. These lessons will run weekly throughout the remainder of the term and concepts will be revisited during Term 4. On Thursday, students looked at the following concepts:
- The safe sharing information online such as videos, pictures – taking care when sharing personal information.
- Managing and monitoring online friendships – who to go to if you feel unsafe online
- Commenting online about someone – cyber bullying – being a bystander rather than an upstander.
All content is designed to be used for 10-12 year olds, and we are following a government approved program.
Future lessons students will undertake include:
- Staying safe online
- Rules when using the internet
- Setting up safe online profiles
- Havin a trusted adult
