Remote Learning 

Grade 3/4

We are super excited to be able to offer to the grade 34 students an Incursion online. We were to have a Night and Day incursion which unfortunately cannot be offered online so instead we are having two online incursions. The first will be on "States of Matter" and this will be held at 9:30 on Thursday 9th September and the second "Wonderful world of Wetland" on Thursday 16th September at 9:30. 

It is expected that all students will attend at this time and take part. Students are encouraged to have the following materials ready for the activities next week so that they can take part as well.

States of Matter – Materials to source

• 2 bowls, jugs, cups, made of metal or 2 food tins
• Ice (enough to fill your canister)
• Salt (2 to 5 teaspoons)
• 250 ml Hot water from the tap (approximately 40 degrees warm) 
• 250 ml Cold water from the tap (approximately 10 degrees cold)
• 170ml or 2/3 cup of vinegar
• 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda
• 1x Sandwich sized zip lock bag
• 1x Tissue
• Tray, plate or bowl to sit experiment in (if you are not working near a sink).
• Extension activity: balloon and pop top
• Corn flour
• Bowl
• Water
• Large stirring Spoon
• Measuring Cup
