School Council President

The results of the uniform survey are in and I'm pleased to announce the new designs for our school polo and summer dress.

We had 136 responses to the survey, with nearly 47% voting for the new polo shirt design with the thin stripes, 31% for an update of the existing design, 18% for the new design with the thicker stripes and the remainder had no preference.

65% of respondents voted to update the summer dress, with 17% preferring to keep the existing style and the remainder had no preference.

Given these results, the School Council has voted to change the uniform to the designs shown above to reflect our community's wishes.

Normally schools would have a set period for a uniform transition (typically 1-3 years) but we understand this is a difficult time for our families and we don't want to cause any additional stress by forcing them to buy new uniforms. Please rest assured that your children will be able to wear their existing uniforms for as long as they want (or last).

Thank you to everyone who supported our school by dropping their Local Matters token in our jar at Grilld Eastland. We didn't quite win the August round but were happy to be runner-up.

Although the weather's not looking great for the weekend, at least our playgrounds have re-opened. It's tough being in lockdown but we've found spending time outside has been one thing that has really helped us cope. I know we'll be visiting a playground this weekend and I'd encourage everyone to get outside if the weather allows.

Please take care of yourself and your family,

Jimmy Harris
