We will return to remote and flexible learning from Tuesday 24th August.

On Monday we will run Home Group for students to check in with teachers and discuss the program for the week. Only Year 12 classes will run on Monday. We really need to stress the importance of students turning on their cameras for online classes - to support their peers and their teachers.

Based on advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer, schools will return to remote and flexible learning on Tuesday 24 August and continue until Thursday 2 September, except for students in the following categories:

Children where both parents and or carers are considered authorised workers who cannot work from home, work for an authorised provider and where no other supervision arrangements can be made:

Where there are two parents/carers, both must be authorised workers, working outside the home in order for their children to be eligible for on-site provision.
For single parents/ carers, the authorised worker must be working outside the home in order for their children to be eligible for on-site provision.

Children experiencing vulnerability, including:
1. in out-of-home care
2. deemed vulnerable by a government agency, funded family or family violence service, and assessed as requiring education and care outside the family home
3. identified by a school or early childhood service as vulnerable, (including via referral from a government agency, or funded family or family violence service, homeless or youth justice service or mental health or other health service)
4. Where a parent/carer indicates that a student with a disability is vulnerable because they cannot learn from home, and/or informs the school the student is vulnerable due to family stress, the school must provide on-site supervision for that student. This may apply to students enrolled in specialist schools and students with a disability enrolled in mainstream schools.

Authorised worker permits for on-site supervision

From Monday 23 August, parents and carers will only be able to request on-site supervision for their child/ren in Category A if they hold a permit as an authorised worker.

We will require all families to complete an on-site attendance form. A copy of a permit/s must be submitted as soon as practicable after issuance for those seeking Category A on-site supervision. A permit is not required for accessing on-site supervision under Category B.
