'Dancing For Country' Illustration competition

Last term Gateway Plaza Leopold proudly partnered with author, Warrawu, a Wadjigany woman from the western Wagait region of the Northern Territories and talented student artists from both Ocean Grove and Clifton Springs Primary schools, to create the community storybook, Dancing For Country, in celebration of the NAIDOC Week 2021 theme; Heal Country.

Throughout the July school holidays, the local community were invited to vote on their favourite student artist illustrations to be featured in the community storybook.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the winning illustrations for the Gateway Plaza Leopold
