Career News

The careers exploration process is a fantastic way to stimulate positive family conversations during our very challenging times. In the August 27th issue of Career News there is a focus on law, criminology and justice courses. There is also a spotlight on the equine industry. Please browse through Career News with your children. There are usually two editions in each school newsletter.

Year 12 students continue to investigate their future options in their Explore classes. The Careers Team has been delivering assistance through short seminars in Teams. These are recorded for students who cannot attend their Explore classes due to VET commitments.

Timely VTAC applications are due on September 30th, with SEAS and scholarship applications closing on October 8th. Students can continue to change their course preferences but should keep in mind that a small number of courses have early cut-off dates. In an upcoming Explore class, nursing and teaching applicants will be guided through the critical extra requirements for their courses.

Please contact Mr Phil Newnham or Ms Jessie Dennison in the Later Years Office if you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment. In the current situation an email may be the most effective way to initiate contact.

Regards,
