Year 3/4 News

A Celebration of Term 3!

What a strange and wonderful Term we have all had. The students in years 3/4 have shown resilience, persistence and a strong desire to learn! We have been so proud to see their optimism and dedication every day on zoom and with the completion of their schoolwork. Thank you to all the families for their continued support during this tricky time! We are hoping for a better and brighter Term 4 and that everyone within our school community has a safe and restful holiday break.

Father's Day

As we have had a focus on poetry this Term, we thought it would be fitting for the students to write a poem, alongside a photo, for their special person this Father's Day. We have compiled it all into a video. A big thank you to all our wonderful Dads and Special People in our community! 

Religious Education

In preparation for their First Eucharist, the Year Four students have been exploring the importance of family and Church rituals. 

Each student was asked to upload a photo of their Baptism as it symbolises the beginning of gathering together as part of God's family. 

Questions were posed to the students related to the symbols and rituals of Baptism, and comparisons were made between their Baptisms and the Baptism of Jesus Christ.

PBL

The students have been constructing and presenting their Olympic Facility Models and we could not be more excited to hear all about their creations. Here are some of the student's designs -  look out Brisbane 2032!

Week 1 & 2 Timetable and Learning Intentions

Please note, our Term 4, Week 1 & 2 timetable and Learning Intentions will not be included in this week's newsletter. Instead, these documents will be posted via Skoolbag at the end of the second week of school holidays, once it is known whether students will be back online or onsite.

Important Dates

Friday 17th September-Last day of Term 3 ( Children wear footy colours to morning Zoom meeting).

Friday 17th September-School Assembly at 1pm

Monday 4th October- School Closure Day

Tuesday 5th october- First day of Term 4.
