The Science Challenge Team have had a team photo taken wearing the shirts purchased with the money raised for National Finals (that are now cancelled). Thanks, Rotary and Zab window Furnishings (team sponsors). The team will use the rest of the money raised for Nationals to attend a celebratory dinner with our sponsors on the last day of term.

UTas Science Investigation Awards
Congratulations to the following winners for the UTas Science Investigation Awards. Winners and places were officially announced on Wednesday evening the 8th September at the Awards Night. These awards are for all schools competing around Northern Tasmania (including Flinders Island):

Our excursion to Hobart
LCS Legal Studies students have enjoyed an excursion to Hobart to visit Parliament and the Supreme Court as part of their studies.
We were hosted by Minister Ferguson and were able to witness Question Time in the House of Assembly and witnessed the Legislative Council in session too.
A truly rewarding experience for all.
Jump Rope for Heart program
We currently have 77 registered students who have raised $3,925 and logged a current total of 83 Hours of skipping with three weeks to go of the program, keep up the awesome work.

Parking policy update
Uniform Shop Consignment Stock
Launceston Christian School’s Uniform Committee is well underway in selecting a new uniform for our students for 2022. While this is an exciting change for our school, it does mean that some second-hand uniforms which families currently have on consignment at our Uniform Shop will be unsalable after the end of this year.
To manage this, we have implemented the guidelines below.
Extended Leave Policy
If you are planning on a holiday/extended trip with your children during school terms please use our Application for Extended Leave form below. Leave of more than 3 days needs to be documented by schools so please take some time to read our Extended Leave Policy below (which contains the application form).
Extra music room available
Parents and students still wishing to have private lessons on instruments – we have several spaces available with teachers next term for Drums, brass, Saxophone, clarinet, flute and piano. There may also be some spaces available for guitar.
Please send an email to Mr Stewart if you would to start lessons next term.
