2021 Tertiary Applications

Timely applications for tertiary study in 2021 closed on 30th September – there has been an increase in the number of Year 12 VCE and VCAL students applying for University and/or TAFE in 2021. Many students have also extended their options by applying for interstate courses in NSW, SA, Tasmania and ACT. 

In response to the COVID pandemic, many universities have introduced Early Offer and Pathway Programs. Congratulations to our Year 12 students who have already received conditional early offers to their preferred degrees. 

Students who have not made an application or have changed their minds may submit a ‘late’ application, however additional fees will apply.

Work Experience

While COVID has impacted access to Work Experience opportunities, there are many ways students can research careers and jobs. The Careers website has links to virtual work experience sites which provide information, virtual tours and the option to live ‘chat’. Students may undertake work experience in Term 4, however arrangements will be limited and dependent on updated DET Covid guidelines and restrictions.

Year 9  -  Morrisby Career Profile

Earlier in 2020, Year 9 students completed their Morrisby Career profile as part of the ‘My Career Insights’ program. As part of this program all students have the opportunity to meet with a careers consultant for 30 minutes to discuss their results and how to use their account. 

If you or your son/daughter would like to organise this meeting to be scheduled (via Webex) please contact the Gippsland Regional Coordinator, Julie Ripon, by email at jripon@ceav.vic.edu.auwith some suggested times and dates. Interviews can be delivered between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Parents are welcome to attend or students can attend the meeting without a parent (all Morrisby consultants use an education department Webex account and hold current WWC or VIT registration).
