Our focus for the following fortnight is Planning. This involves working things out in advance. Thinking about where you are going and the actions you want to take, the time and the resources you will need and the obstacles you may encounter.
But be sure that everything is done properly and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40
But how do I know the right way? When we encounter a situation, we can often be bombarded by conflicting advice, multiple options and very firm opinions. This too occurred in the Bible and we see that we are directed in the verse above from 1 Corinthians. This is sound life advice and especially for children. We know that routines, order and a sense of calm can help to provide an environment where children can grow to become independent and show perseverance.
This fortnight at school, the children are going to engage in tasks that we have carefully mapped out and tasks that are less prescriptive. They will debate the merits, for we know that from spontaneity, creativity can flow too. So how do we find the balance? We seek out a higher plan. The plan that God speaks to us about in Jeremiah 29:11 “Plans to prosper you, and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. God’s ultimate plan is for us to see Heaven and be in paradise with Him. So let’s ensure that we do things properly and with order, so that we may see Heaven.
Did you catch our Assemblies last week? Each week the class scheduled for Assembly is making an iMovie to share with you. Here are the links. They will be shared on the Primary Daily Notices and Seesaw each week.
