Leading up to Book Week in Week 6, all classes are studying books shortlisted for different categories by the Children's Book Council of Australia. We are noting special techniques used by authors as well as the importance of the illustrator.

Kindergarten and Stage One read 'There's No Such Thing' by Heidi McKinnon; Stage 2 read 'How to Make a Bird' by Meg McKinlay and Stage 3 read 'Hold on - Saving the Spotted Handfish' by Gina M Newton. After reading students complete activities related to the text.

Just a reminder that your child should be returning their books every week and either reborrowing that one if they have not finished reading it, or borrowing a new book.

Library days are:

TUESDAY: Stage 2

WEDNESDAY: Stage 1

THURSDAY: Stage 3 and Kinder
