Library News

It has been a busy term in the library. 103 new resources have been added to our catalog including donations from staff and students. Thank you to our generous benefactors for these books.

As part of book week the library is inviting all students K-12 to design a bulletin board display for the library. The winner will be able to spend up to $50 on materials and will need to put together the display themselves during break times. Leftover materials will remain the property of the Library. The display must include the theme “Old worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”. To enter, students should draw up a plan of their display and provide a list of materials. This can be done individually or with a group of friends. Students can use any medium they like and make components at home, once they find out if they were the winner. The dimension of the board are 180cm x 113cm. Entries must be given to Miss Condrick by Friday 6th August.

Learning to Type

Most Library classes have spent the end of term 2 focusing on improving their typing skills. Typing.com has a number of lessons and games students may like to use over the holidays to keep working on these skills.
