ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Just a reminder that the NSW Health advice is that spectators cannot attend School Athletics Carnivals during school hours, whether it is on school grounds or off site.

The Diocesan Athletics Carnival which is being held in Tamworth is classified as an inter-school event, in accordance with advice from CSNSW, it comes under community sport guidelines. Therefore one spectator per competitor will be allowed to attend with COVID Safety Restrictions to adhere to. These restrictions will be on the Diocesan permission note that will go home on Thursday.

School Athletics carnivals, come under the Education banner of COVID guidelines and this is why advice varies from School to Diocesan events.

Please note - do not purchase any clothing for your child specifically for this event. We have spare coloured clothing items at school and will create some colourful accessories to go with outfits.

Tennis

As part of the Sporting Schools Grant from the Australian Sports Commission, we will be taking part in Tennis skills lessons this term. Mr Dale Marting, the tennis coach from Gunnedah will be conducting the lessons on a Wednesday commencing on 4th August throught until 8th September. The lessons will be held across the road at the Tennis Courts and students walk across accompanied by their class teacher. The school has tennis racquets, however if your child has their own and wishes to bring it to school, please ensure that their name is clearly marked on it.
