100 Days of Prep

The Prep children had so much fun celebrating their 100th Day of Prep! The Preppies really enjoyed creating their ‘100 Days crown’, a special activity which they were lucky enough to share with their Year 5 buddies.

We made '100' placemats and the children were very excited to share their 100 items with their classmates. They had all sorts of little items brought to school like buttons, feathers, stickers, pom-poms and Ooshies! The children had fun decorating their posters and the teachers took photos.

The day was so wonderful, topped off with bubbles on the mounds and a beautiful guard of honour from their buddies as the Preps left school for the day.

Olympics

It has been a very busy return to school for the Preppies following another stint of remote learning. Once again, the Prep students amazed us with their resilience, focus and IT skills during their learning from home.

Back at school we have been learning about the Olympics. We looked up what the colours on the Olympic rings mean and Ito Sensei taught the children how to say the colours red, blue, yellow, black and green in Japanese.

We considered what it takes to be an elite athlete and brainstormed adjectives to describe Olympic athletes, such as strong, healthy and fast. We also discussed all the different sports which are included in the Olympic Games, including new sports such as BMX riding and skateboarding.

Students were asked to consider what event they would like to participate in at the Olympics. We were also very lucky to watch Ariarne Titmus win gold in the pool!

Mrs Robertson

Mrs Robertson surprised us yesterday and came to visit with her baby daughter 'Hailey' to celebrate our !00 Days!

It was so lovely seeing Mrs Robertson and meeting Hailey. The Prep children were very excited and asked lots of questions!
