In music lessons, Year 1 and 2 have discussed NAIDOC Week and the celebration that recognises aboriginal people and their culture.

We learnt about the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander culture, as we listened to meaningful reflections by some from the  indigenous community and as we enjoyed watching indigenous musicians sing, dance and perform. The students then had an opportunity to write and/or draw their own reflections on the theme ‘Heal Country’.
