LILYDALE STREET PARTY 

2014 Battle of the Band Winners 

Congratulations to the Year 10 band She Dreams in Colour who performed at the Lilydale Street Party Performance on Friday 27 February. The girls set included some great songs covered including the hits 'Punk Rocker', 'On Top of the World' and 'Summer of 69'. 

Thank you to all students, staff and parents/guardians who attended to support the girls performance.

Well done to the Year 10 girls Amy Aldred, Alyssa Nichols, Emma Fenby, and Kayla Gialelis on their great performance.

SCHOOL PRODUCTION

Congratulations to the cast of the 2015 School Production All Shook Up! We are excited to see many Instrumental Music students amongst the cast.

Ms Cumming will be leading the band and looking for exceptional musicians to fill out the band for the school production. 

Information on 'Band Expressions of Interest' will be given out later in the production process. Students are reminded to keep an eye on Compass for further information.

BAND REHEARSALS

Rehearsals are under way for most Instrumental Music Bands/Ensembles.  All students are reminded to be prompt to the PAC Band Room with their Instrument ready for rehearsal with their band leader/director. 

Monday –Vocal Ensemble (Band Room) - Karla Nyhuis

Monday - Rookie Guitar  and Hendrix Guitar Ensemble, rotating fortnightly  (Room P5) - Stephen McCulloch

Tuesday – Funk Band (Band Room) - Amy Cumming

Wednesday – Rookie Band , beginning Term 2 (Band Room) - Bonnie Poduska and Kate McAlister

Thursday – LHS Band (Band Room) - Bronwyn Ventura and Kent Fisk

Friday – Percussion Ensemble (Band Room) - Malcolm Abbott 

Students who cannot attend a rehearsal can email their band/ensemble director via Compass, or alternatively leave a note with Ms Cumming in the PAC.
