Before School Care
West Beach Primary School's OSHC has trialed a Before School Care Programme in terms one and two. Unfortunately, patronage of the Before School Care Programme has been limited and as a result we regret to inorm the community that the promgramme will not continue after the end of term two (Friday July 5th).
We wish to thank those parents who have utilized the before school service.
Both the After School Care and Vacation Care Services will continue unchanged.
Parents with any questions regarding this are encouraged to speak with Mat Charleston or Katrina Sexton.
Chess Tournament
The West Beach Primary School Chess Tournament has commenced with children enjoying many close games. The tournament is set to continue during weeks four and five. The winner will be announced in the next newsletter! Good luck to all the participants.

ICAS Tests
Congratulations to those students who participated in the ICAS Digital Technologies test this week. We look forward to sharing the results later in the year. The next ICAS test is the Science Test which will be held on Wednesday June 3rd.
Garden Benches
Thank you to Jo Ness and Michelle Tregoweth for giving up their time to help paint the new benches which have been installed around the tables near the native garden. This has created a wonderful alternative learning space for our students.

Garden Renovation
Also a huge 'thank you' to Sharyn, Teakara and Keanu R as well as Jorden T and the Vacation Care students who helped to clear the old overgrown garden near the library and plant a great new garden. The painting of the border adds a nice finishing touch! Well done everyone!!

Reconciliation Week
The 2015 National Reconciliation Week theme is: “It’s time to Change it Up.” On Monday 1st June at 9:00am we will have a special assembly to acknowledge Reconciliation Week. All parents are invited to attend this event.
Canteen Helpers Needed
We are currently seeking additional volunteers to assist in the canteen. This involves helping to serve children at lunchtimes and also ensure the lunch orders are distributed to the classes prior to 'eating time'. Anybody able to assist is asked to contact Sam Cook on 0402286650.
