MATHS & ENGLISH

Cross Age Tutoring

  • Mondays
  • Library
  • 3.00 pm to 3.45 pm

Peer tutoring is continuing this year!  Students in Years 7 to 9 are invited to bring along any English or Mathematics classwork, homework or a book to get assistance with from a peer in a guided way.

Students should  bring a note from home in their planner and the activity they need help with.

Reading, National English Skills, Work Requirements, Maths Pathways and Problem Solving tasks are just some of the ways the tutors can help.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Dean Izzard, Liz Rundell or Jessica Timmers if you have any questions.

PI Day - March 14,3.14....

LHS is celebrating Pi Day on Thursday, March 14.  Get practising on remembering as many decimal places as possible.

Last years’ record was 250 decimal places, but we had students reciting personal bests of 10 – 15 decimal places. All students welcome to enter the competition at lunchtime on the Performing Arts deck.

What is Pi Day?

Debate Club

This is an open invitation to all students to come along to Debate Club every Thursday Lunchtime in Room 29.

We have fun activities running each lunchtime that will help you learn the arts of debate and public speaking.

Learn to fight with words and build your confidence as you go.
