Swimming Carnival

On Monday 25 February, all the Year 7’s and some people from the other year levels went  to Aquanation in Ringwood to compete in their house colours; Yellow, Blue, Green and Red.

There were races for each type of swimming stroke and age division. In addition to the swimming races there were also some fun games played, such as tug of war and bombing competitions.

Looking around the crowd, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, either getting ready for their next race, talking with their friends and cheering the competitors on as they raced towards the finish line.

For me personally, I was happy and proud to see some friends of mine do really well in their races. But the best part of the day was seeing some of the amazing  and creative costumes, such as Bart Simpson, Smurfs and some people riding dinosaurs and kangaroos. I’m looking forward to next year's carnival.

Year 8 Significant Person Project

And they’re off! The Year 8s have made a great start to their Significant Person Project. This cross curriculum project is always a highlight of the year for our Year 8 students and their families.

Our Year 8s have begun work on this project in a number of subjects, and no doubt families have heard all about the task as students plan and interview their chosen significant person.

This project will culminate in two afternoons of celebration on June 12 and 13, as students invite their significant person or proxy to a presentation, afternoon tea and a tour of the final art works. It is an event not to be missed!

Students prepare materials for their art works.

Students complete their CAT prior to beginning their art work.
