Jorgie in Japan
When asked about her adventure to Japan Jorgie Wright in Year 10 simply says "It was amazing! I wish I was still there". Arriving in Japan on 14 April Jorgie and other members of the NSW Bushrangers Hockey Team were headed to compete in 9 games over the two weeks.
On this whirl wind tour Jorgie stayed in Matsuyama, Oaska, Gifu, Tochigi, Miyagi and Tokyo. When they weren't competing Jorgie and her team headed to many different tourists attractions including The Three Wise Monkey Temple, 1001 Budas, Matsuyama Temple, Disneyland and the Golden Temple. Travelling via bullet train and visiting lots of markets Jorgie was able to take in all the sights of Japan, an experience of a lifetime! And of course she couldn't miss seeing the beautiful Cherry Blossoms!
Hitting the hockey field Jorgie and her team won 6 games, drew 2 and lost one. At the three presentation nights held over the two weeks Jorgie met with players, parents and the broader community. At only 15 it is fantastic that Jorgie has had the opportunity to travel and compete overseas for her sport.
