Year 9 LaTrobe Visit

Mini-O Week at LaTrobe!

On Wednesday 12th December Shepparton High School Year 9 students had the opportunity to visit La Trobe University campus in Shepparton.

They were invited to participate in sets of activities run by departments such as Allied Health Services (Nursing, Welfare), Business and Media (Studio use), and Sport and Art.

Students were able to participate using the facilities of the University and so increase their understanding of the possibilities on offer for their future pathways.

They were then able to have open discussions with people who were providers of the education of the University students – a Medical Doctor, Sociology lecturer, Doctor of History, Teaching Lecturer and also students of these areas of study.

All students expressed that this was a positive experience and successfully helped them to learn more about the possibilities of future pathways for careers.
