Living Well, Learning Well

Mrs Rebecca Hofman - Leader of Pedagogy

Week 5 Character Strength Awards

Our character strength last week was gratitude.  The following students were recognised for their gratitude, but also as a way for the school community to express our gratitude to the wonderful works of these students:

Alex Davis: Displaying gratitude to staff / Thank you for leading by example at our 22 minute dance party on Twosday.

Joel Morris: For always offering to support staff and students on the playground.

Dani Cortis: For showing gratitude every day with your lovely manners. We are grateful you are part of our school community.

Week 6 Character Strength Focus

This week our focus is Teamwork

At St. Joseph’s School, we can show teamwork by:

  • Having a go.
  • Being a positive member of a team.
  • Ensuring our words and actions work to help achieve a group goal.
  • Trusting team mates.
  • Encouraging others to have a go and be involved.
  • Sharing ideas and listening respectfully.
  • Including others and not leaving anyone behind.

By building our character strengths, we can all work together to say:

People have a better day because I am here as part of the school team!

Each week, we will display our focus for all students to see on our Living Well, Learning Well display. We look forward to watching our students display teamwork in all they do this week and encourage families to discuss this week's character strength at home.
