Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
Parent Student Teacher Conferences bookings were made live to parents earlier this week. Ensuring that teachers and parents/guardians work closely together to support students is vital to success. We encourage all families to book sessions with each of their teachers.
The conferences are help on Thursday 31 March between 12pm and 7pm to hopefully ensure parents of various work hours can attend.
Sessions are 5 minutes and teachers will concentrate on the learning behaviours of the students, their successes and challenges needing greater work to progress.
These are three way conversations, students are expected to attend and while the day does not have classes, it is not a student free day. We hope all families are able to attend these important conversations.
The school Council AGM is also held on this day between 5pm-6pm.

Drop off and Pick up Traffic
Dear Homestead Community, It is amazing to see more and more students in our college each day however with this growth comes traffic congestion on Coaching Parade. We are currently working with the Wyndham Council to ensure adequate traffic management however this does take some time take effect. Some key points for consideration:
- U-turns: parents, please do not attempt U-turns on coaching parade, use the round-about further down the road.
- Bus Parking: The school bus parking is currently not marked by council however the bus parking is the side parking directly in front of the visitor parking. Please leave this space free for the bus if you arrive early to pick up your child. We are working with the council to have permanent signs and possible line markings to reserve space for a bus.
- Crossing: We are working with the council to complete a survey and apply for funding for a crossing supervisor, at this stage we are not eligible, it may be another year before we are large enough for this. You may have even seen me in my high vis yard duty vest pretending to be a crossing supervisor. Please be very vigilant and drive slowly past the crossing area.
- Double Parking: Please ensure that we do not double park others, this creates further congestions and frustration, if you have arrived later in the afternoon, please consider driving further up the road or arrive after 3:15 when the major congestion has passed.
- Walking to school: As our students are all young adults, where possible and weather permitting, I encourage you to have students walk to school. Not only is this good for their health, but it will alleviate the congestion we see on Coaching Parade.
- Extra Gate/Crossing: We understand that our student population comes from all sides of the college, however the provided entry gate is only on Coaching Parade. I am currently working on quotes to provide a path and gate on the west side of the college near Postema Dr, on Danthonia Av. This should also alleviate the congestion when completed.
Many thanks to all for supporting the safe drop off and pick up of our students and thank you to our amazing students who always behave in such an exemplary manner during the morning and afternoon peak traffic times.Have a great weekend all!
