Year 12 Wellbeing Day
On Tuesday 1 March, the Year 12 cohort was treated to a year level Wellbeing Day. We had Ph.D. holding lecturer, Michael Carr-Gregg come in and speak to us about the psychology of being in Year 12 and how to cope with stress, along with how to control burnout.
We also completed 4 mini activities throughout the day helping us to collaborate and grow friendships with people in our class.
The teachers organised a fantastic lunch for us cooked by local organisation Tasty Az, that empowers people with disabilities.
We had a really good time and it was one of the few occasions where we got to wear free dress!
It was great to see so much positivity at a time where a lot of us are full of worries and stress.

Senior Volleyball
50 students across Year 11 and 12 travelled to Dandenong Volleyball Stadium for the Senior School Volleyball Championships.
Whilst the skill level was building, spirits were at an all time high throughout the day.
The Senior Girls finished 3rd and the Senior Boys fought valiantly in a close defeat to Monbulk. Well done to all!
Year 11 Drama - Chair Duets
The idea of 'Chair Duets' is to build a story through movement and ultimately create a working scene from it.
Year 11 Food Studies
Practical SAC - Quinoa, brown rice and roasted carrot salad with quinoa crumbed chicken tenderloins.
Resilience and Gratitude
Our student Gratitude Board is back out the front of Room V05. Make sure you add your reflection on what you’re grateful for.
VCE Students and cars
Some students will acquire a car and licence in 2022. PARKING is available in the Stadium Car Park.
NO DRIVER STUDENT MAY TAKE OUT ANOTHER STUDENT IN THEIR CAR DURING SCHOOL HOURS.
Students may obtain their parents’ permission to be driven to and from school in another student’s car. A written note from both students’ parents must be given to the VCE Coordinators before driving another student or siblings. They may only carry one passenger unless they are family members.
Students must inform the VCE Coordinators of their licence plate numbers and car make and colour.
Uniform Requirements
As per the school uniform policy, students are not to wear any facial piercings. This includes clear piercings.
Students also need to ensure that they wear white socks without logos and black polishable school shoes.
All Senior School uniform requirements are available through LOWES.
Absences on Compass
Any absences from school must be parent/guardian approved. You can do this through a signed note or you can approve your child’s absences via the Parent Approval Button on Compass.
You can also use Compass to view your student’s past absences.
VCE SACs, Redemption and IPT
The IPT SAC schedule for Term 1, has been posted on the Year 11 and 12 Google Classrooms.
Students need to read these carefully to ensure there are no SAC clashes. If a student does have a SAC clash, they will need to visit the Senior School Office to complete a SAC clash form.
This will provide them with an opportunity to reschedule one of the SACs for the next available time slot in IPT.
The times for SACs are:
- Tuesday during IPT, Periods 5 and 6
- Thursday during IPT, Periods 5 and 6
- Friday during IPT, Period 6 (one period SAC only)
If students miss a SAC, they will not be granted SAC redemption unless they have a medical certificate or it is a school-approved absence. If there are extenuating circumstances, please let us know and we will make a decision based on the VCAA guidelines.
It is expected that students who do not have a scheduled SAC during IPT are utilising this time for their school work. There will be various sessions run during this time and it is compulsory for students to be in attendance.
