Victorian High Ability Program,

The Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP) has begun for 2022 at Caulfield Junior College., with a group of our Grade 5 and 6 students having been selected by the Department of Education to be a part of this enrichment program for English and Mathematics.

The Victorian Government has again funded the Victorian High Ability Program. This provides up to 48, 000 Victorian high ability students in Years 5-8 (Year 5 and 6 at CJC) at government schools the opportunity to participate in a 10-week online extension and enrichment program in English and Mathematics.

The virtual program, delivered by Virtual Schools Victoria, will focus on extending and developing students’ mathematic and English abilities.

The Department of Education has centrally managed the selection process for the program based on students’ academic performance. The students at CJC who are participating in this program commenced their classes earlier this month and have enjoyed meeting high ability students from other schools and their teacher from Virtual School Victoria.

Congratulations to the students who have been selected to be in the program.
