COMMUNITY HUB

News from the Community Hub

My name is Sainam Saitov (Sonia) and I am delighted to join the Para Vista School as the Community Hub Leader.  I have a 7 year old daughter and live locally but have also lived interstate.  My university education is in International Relations and International Studies and the majority of my working career has been  within the Education environment.

My aim, as Community Hub Leader, is to create an environment where families can connect with our school, with each other and to extend a welcoming invitation to all families where they feel safe and included in a relaxed and informal space.  I am keen to engage and support families and find out your passions and interests and discuss together the needs of local families and the skills they can share at the Hub and the skills they would like to accomplish.  My aim is to have a strong focus on achieving major outcomes for children and families and for our School.  I will be working on a number of events and activities including English lessons and sewing classes next term as well as a number of other activities in the early planning stage which will enable families to develop skills, build connections and improve school readiness.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with as many families as possible at a morning tea to be held in Week 4 of next term (more details to be advised).  I am keen to engage and support families and find out your passions and interests and what you would also like to achieve from our Community Hub.

Thanks Sonia
