Dear Parents and Carers,

Last week we celebrated Ash Wednesday as a School and Parish community. Our students received the ashes and learnt about how Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, the 40 days leading into Easter which includes prayer, faster and almsgiving. Our school community has begun to focus on almsgiving through Project Compassion and giving so that others who are less fortunate than us, can have help in accessing support to meet their basic needs.

Our students have been learning about the stories of the people Project Compassion supports. We will continue to support Project Compassion throughout Lent through fundraising by our senior students.

It was wonderful to have so many of our families attend our SHS Family BBQ. It was a great opportunity for students, parents, families and staff to gather together in an informal setting, getting to know new faces and catch up. Thank you for your support of the event.

Shortly you will receive information about upcoming Parent Teacher Meetings and Parent Support Group Meetings (PSGs). These are a great opportunity for teachers/parents/students to get together to discuss the great learning our students are doing and a chance to talk about any questions you may have. These meetings will be booked using PAM, which all parents have been asked to set up via email. Please review the letter I have shared by email and if you have any questions, or need any help in setting up your PAM account, please let me know.
