"How to Help Improve Your Child's Memory"

We’re excited to announce that Elevate Education's next free webinar will be focusing on Memory.

 

Elevate Education works with our students, delivering high impact workshops on study skills, motivation, wellbeing, and exam preparation. 

 

By tuning into their webinar series you will learn how you can help better support your children at home through reinforcing the skills they learn at school.

 

Here’s what we’ll be covering on the night: 

 

✅ How memory actually works (and how it has nothing to do with brain capacity) 

✅ The most effective environments to assist in memorisation 

✅ 3 techniques you can implement overnight to improve revision 

 

Thursday 6 April

Three Way Conferences 

This semester, Three Way Conferences will take place on site at school. Students should accompany parents for these meetings.  There will be no formal classes on this day.

 

Bookings are to be made on Compass and will OPEN this Wednesday 29 March at 8:00 am, and CLOSE at noon on Tuesday 5 April. 

 

Please note a booking is required prior to meeting with your child/s teacher.

Parent/Carer Webinar

“Young People and Vaping”

Three local government areas (Knox, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges) and YSAS (Youth Support and Advocacy Service) have come together to provide an information webinar “Young People and Vaping”.

 

In this webinar you will receive up-to-date information about vaping, trends in use among young people, the potential harms of vaping, and learn how to talk with young people about vaping to prevent or reduce use.

Rapid Antigen Tests

The Main Office has a supply of Rapid Antigen Tests if any families would like to collect some, now until the end of Term 1.

Parent Payments 2023

Please find attached the Parent Payment information for 2023.

 

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)

The CSEF is an annual payment ($225) to the school to be used towards camps, sports and/or excursion costs for eligible students.  

 

The CSEF program for 2023 closes on Friday 24 April. 

 

School Uniform Reminder

Students are REQUIRED to wear correct school uniform every day, including travelling to and from Lilydale High School. 

 

The co-operation of parents and guardians is expected in delivering a high standard of appearance for students. 

 

Sanctions will apply for any student not wearing the correct uniform items.

 

Mobile Phone Policy

Mobile phones brought to school must be switched off and stored securely in lockers during the school day.

 

The aim of the mobile phone policy for all government schools is to provide:

  • a safe environment to learn without inappropriate mobile phone use (including cyberbullying) or distractions
  • greater opportunities for social interaction and physical activity during recess and lunchtimes

Parents and Carers can contact their children through the relevant Sub School Offices. 

 

Sanctions will apply for any student using their mobile phone whilst at school.
