From the Principal

Welcome to week 9

Thank you to the year 4 class for leading us in today's Assembly. The students shared some of their work with us, particularly about their recent zoo snooze, and entertained with a lovely song to conclude the gathering. I was very impressed by their reading in front of the whole school. Great work year 4.

A reminder to all families with children in years R-4, swimming lessons are being conducted next week.  Lessons are being conducted at Waterworld Modbury , corner of Jack High Lane and Golden Grove Road.

Teacher/Parent Conversations are also being conducted next week.  If you have not yet booked a time please do via the website. If you are unsure please contact the front office or your child's teacher.

The Year 6 girls had a fantastic day out for the Crows Cup Carnival, held at the Central District football grounds during the week. It was a great day where the girls experienced playing AFL in a fun and supported environment. The Carnival consisted of 12 teams from 9 schools from the northern region. St Gabriel’s played well and were competitive and held their own ground, winning 3 out of their 6 games. Thank you to Mrs Marino and Miss Thom for coaching the team on the day.  Congratulations to all the girls, who were great representatives of the St Gabriel’s spirit. Well Done!

A couple of reminders: student should not be bringing toys to school and correct uniform needs to be worn each day.   We thank you for assisting us in these matters.  Please refer  to the Uniform Policy in the General Information section of this Newsletter.
