On our first day of gardening, we watered the vegetables, we also collected seeds from some plants so we can save the seeds and plant them next season.

On our second day of gardening, we cut the branches of the lemon trees that had gall wasps in them.

We have tomatoes, capsicums, pumpkins, zucchinis, strawberries and potatoes growing at the moment. The garden is really healthy and beautiful.

Our group watered the garden beds and we took turns using the shredder to shred used A4 paper, it was fun. The shredded paper is put into the compost bins and worm farms.

One of our jobs was composting, we chopped up cabbage with big shovels and added it to the compost bin and mixed it up.

We picked tomatoes, planted rhubarb and transferred worm castings from the worm farm into the strawberry patch.

During our classroom gardening lesson, we learnt what types of food scraps are good and which ones are bad for the worms in our worm farms and compost bins.
