***Unfortunately Ethan and Luke today! They will be introduced in the next newsletter.
One of the Green Team's goals for this year was to bring back Nude Food!
So on that note...
Nude Food
Nude Food Tuesdays began this term on the 7th of March and we would like to thank all the parents and carers for their support. Students tried their best to have a lunch box free of wrappers and we had fun conversations around how a banana comes in a natural wrapper. The class with the least number of wrappers were 1H! The Green Team ran a game of Fruit Salad and Octopus as a reward.
We are looking forward to next month's Nude Food Tuesday (April the 4th).
Clean Up Australia
This Friday, Black Rock Primary School will be taking part in Clean Up Australia Day. The official day was last Friday but due to a big day of Interschool Sport and wanting to have as much of the school community involved we have postponed. Throughout the week students have been taking part in activities to help them understand and promote less waste in the school. This has included making posters about Clean Up Australia Day and reading about when the day was started and why. We are looking forward to the big clean up on Friday and learning about what things can be recycled, composted and going to landfill. Photos to come in the next edition of the newsletter!
Other upcoming events this term:
Earth Hour and Ride2School Day on Friday 24th of March.
