Kindness

Alexander is a kind and caring student. He plays cooperatively with his classmates in small group maths games and during Golden Time. Alexander considers other students’ needs, always offering encouragement and kind words. He will volunteer to play with others during his recess and lunch times and is a true friend to many.

Emily has demonstrated curiosity when learning and is beginning to ask and answer questions when talking to her teacher. During our Literacy sessions, she is able to make connections with her prior learning and uses this knowledge to create interesting sentences. Keep up the wonderful work Emily!

A love of learning

Sophie did a fantastic job when working on time last week in Maths. She was able to confidently read o’clock and half past times both in digital and analogue form and further demonstrated her understanding by making these times on a clock. Sophie was also able to recognise the seasons and create a timeline for important events in her life, wonderful work Sophie!

Bravery and Kindness

Winnie has demonstrated tremendous bravery this week by starting every day with a smile on her face and a keen interest to learn. She has been kind and positive towards all of her classmates and is a pleasure to have as part of 1J. Keep up the great work Winnie!!

Teamwork

Emily has blown me away this week with her teamwork skills. During our Respectful Relationships lesson she worked with her team to create a role play. She encouraged her teammates and made sure everyone had a go whilst ensuring everyone had fun. Well done Emily!

Kiki has made an outstanding start in Grade 5 this year. She consistently completes her homework, has been incredibly organised for her Term 1 History project and always manages her time well in class.
