From the Senior School

The Hamilton and Alexandra College Acting Principal - Miss Kristen Waldron

I thought things were supposed to slow down at the end of a term! This is certainly not the case in Week 9 at College.  The school has been busy with so many positive activities. The Australian String Quartet workshops and concert, cricket and basketball finals, parent-teacher interviews, reports, rowing dinner, completion of NAPLAN, Year 12 SAC's, Tertiary Information Session for Year 11s and 12s, assemblies, and GD Athletics tomorrow. What an amazing week of opportunities for our students to learn and grow. We are proud of our students and all they are achieving.

I hope our students and families will take the time to read through the Term One report carefully. For parents, it is essential to communicate with your child/ren about their report and the advice given by the teacher. Encourage your child to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement, and work with them to set achievable goals to improve their academic performance.

For students, it is essential to take responsibility for your academic progress and take note of the advice given by your teacher. Use the report as an opportunity to reflect on your strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan to improve your performance. Remember that your teacher is there to support you, so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

I know our Easter Service next Wednesday will be a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone and I hope to see all of our families there.

We look forward to a positive, productive and smooth end to Term One.
