WELLBEING
Special Friends Day
On Friday 28th October the St James students invited their special friends to spend the morning with them at school. What a fantastic morning we had. It was wonderful to meet so many of the extended members of our community. Special Friends were invited to complete fun activities with the students such as:
Portrait drawing, book readings, board and card games, impromptu speeches, interviews, trivia and so much more. A beautiful morning tea was donated by all members of the school community. Thank-you to the wonderful parents who were able to assist with the set up and organisation of this.

CONFIRMATION
Last Friday the Year 6 students participated in a reflection day in final preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The students were involved in a number of activities including Gen Bryant, a visit from Bishop Tony Ireland and reflection on how the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit can be used in their day to day lives.
A VERY big thank you to all the parents for putting on the most beautiful lunch for the students to share. We look forward to sharing the Sacrament of Confirmation with the students this Thursday, 17th of November at St Joan of Arc.
CONFIRMATION CHOIR
We are very excited to start up again, the St James Choir to sing at the Sacrament of Confirmation and we invite all students in Year 3 to 5 to join the choir.
This requires students to attend the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday 17th of November at St Joan of Arc. Students are to be dropped off at 5:40pm in their full school uniform and be collected at 7pm.
We will meet each week on a Monday and Friday during the first half of lunch in the Library.
GEN BRYANT
We were very lucky to have Gen Bryant and her team come to visit us last Friday and share her faith and love and music with us. It was lovely to come together in prayer at the end of the day.
We look forward to Gen and her team joining us for the Sacrament of Confirmation next week
Prayer/Reflection Group
Last Friday we held our first prayer reflection session in the Library led by our school Chaplain Corey Payton. This is a beautiful opportunity to gather in reflective prayer and meditation, to take a moment in our busy lives and invite God to be by our side.
We will hold our next session on Friday 18th of November at 2:45pm in the Library. We look forward to seeing you then.
