Our Year 2 Mathematicians have been working hard to develop their understanding of Place Value. They know that each part of a number is called a 'digit' and what each digit is worth. They have enjoyed playing some games involving cards and blocks to grow in their understanding of this important concept.
In Stage 2 we are learning to solve word problems by reading the question carefully and using what we know to work out the answer. The students have enjoyed working in pairs and individually to solve some tricky problems.
In the Preschool the children in Bilima and Gurawara are investigating length and finding objects that are short and long. There are so many wonderful toys in the preschool that they enjoy using to learn early Maths concepts!
